Centenary Stage Company presents
A Thousand Cranes

Based on the true story of the young Japanese girl who inspired an international peace movement, this play introduces the audience to Japanese language, music and dance. Sadako Sasaki was two years old when the bomb fell on her home of Hiroshima. Taking an old story to heart, she begins to fold a thousand paper origami cranes in order to be granted her wish—that there would never be another bomb like that again.
