The Alice and Leonard Dreyfuss Planetarium is a spectacular interactive theater for learning about astronomy, space and planetary science. Audiences can explore the constellations, travel through the Solar System, visit distant galaxies and soar to the edge of the Universe.
The centerpiece of this 50-seat theater is a state of the art Zeiss ZKP3B projector which can project up to 7,000 stars and display the correct positions of the Sun, Moon and planets.

Planetarium Upgrade
The Dreyfuss Planetarium will close January 4, 2010 and undergo a major upgrade thanks to a federal grant through the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The upgrade will include the addition of "Full Dome" digital video, a surround sound system, new seating and exciting new state-of-the-art programs.
The planetarium will reopen Spring 2010. To celebrate the Planetarium's renovation, there will be a family astronomy festival, AstroFest, on May 22, 2010.
