Join us for a celebration of the restoration of our 1904 grand bronze doors
originally created by Andrew O’Connor II for downtown Newark’s American
Insurance Company building, itself the work of renowned architect Cass Gilbert.
Karen Nichols, FAIA, Principal of Michael Graves & Associates, and Linda
Nieuwenhuizen, art conservator, will be joined by Ulysses G. Dietz, Senior
Curator and Curator of Decorative Arts, as they present their corresponding
perspectives on art and architecture.
The program will take place in the newly restored Billy Johnson Auditorium,
following champagne, shopping and viewing of the exhibition Patchwork from
Folk Art to Fine Art.
